Xiaomi Mi 7 opts for 2018 trend in-display fingerprint reader

An upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 7 is confirmed to feature the in-display fingerprint sensor, which is the one of the trends of 2018. Major Smartphone players are adopting the under-display Fingerprint Scanner, and now Xiaomi Mi 7 is already jumping on the bandwagon.

Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that Mi 7 will sport an under-display fingerprint sensor on the Weibo post. With Samsung and Xiaomi partnering in 2017 for OLED displays, the Xiaomi’s next smartphone displays are allegedly provided by Samsung .

Coming to the Xiaomi Mi 7 Specifications, this has to be the second device from the company in 2018 to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon845 processor. Mi 7 is likely to be packed with 64GB/128GB of internal capacity, 6GB/8GB RAM and is based on Android 8.0 Oreo, non-removable 4480mAh battery, 16-megapixel dual rear camera with dual tone LED flash and 13-megapixel front camera, while it will have a trendy notched display measuring 5.65-inches in diagonal. In addition, the device is expected to arrive with the fast wireless charging of 7.5W level, which is currently being used on iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus flagship smartphones.
