Honor 8X Max confirmed with Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB RAM

Huawei is planning to release the Honor 8X from a while, and now Honor has confirmed the official launch date as September 5 by releasing a teaser poster on Weibo. The teaser has also confirmed that this Huawei’s subsidiary will be available in two variants - a standard one and an oversized version called 8X Max.

Rumor has it that the diagonal on the Max is going to be 7.12"  screen surpassing Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The leaked screenshots also confirmed that Honor 8X & Honor 8X Max will feature Snapdragon 660 and 4GB of RAM. The model number ARE-AL00 matches to leaked model number on TENAA report last week thus confirming the details.

In addition the screenshots have also confirmed the following features of these variants- 4GB of RAM; 1080 x 2244 pixel display; 8MP sensor housed by the notch; Adreno 512 GPU. Also it is confirmed that Honor 8X Max will carry Snapdragon 660 chipset though there has been earlier confusion on SD636 or SD660. The device may feature 16MP + 2MP camera setup on the back into the mix and packs 4,900 mAh battery.
