Samsung Foldable Smartphone pictured in Concept Renders

Korean company's next innovation Samsung Foldable Smartphone is gearing up for a launch from some time and looks like the device may finally become official at CES 2019 in January. Meanwhile the NieuweMobiel teamed up with Jonas Dähnert gave a quick glance on how the handset looks like.

Samsung Foldable Smartphone is referred as Galaxy X, but it may also be called Galaxy F, which was the name of cancelled foldable model years back. Galaxy F seem more fit name for the device, since F stands for foldable.

The pictured concept renders were shown in several position including the folded, unfolded, and even at a 90-degree angle. They were made supporting the patents Samsung has filed for a foldable smartphone and the schematics contained in the Samsung patent applications.

The display however couldn't be folded flat, even when the handset is 'closed' there's still an opening reminiscent of the Microsoft Surface Book. A part of the panel is visible, when folded as the device doesn't fold exactly in the middle.

According to the images, the fingerprint scanner is on the back of the device and it may have under-display solution. Samsung Foldable Smartphone is likely to have four cameras- two on the front, two on the back.

When the device is fully unfolded, Samsung Foldable Smartphone may have a 7" or bigger touchscreen surface, with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The device is likely to be priced in between 3,000 and 6,000 mAh.
