Samsung Galaxy J2 Core Launched; Price, Specs and more.

Samsung has announced the first Android Go phone, Galaxy J2 Core and it's now launched in India. Available in three variants in Gold, Black and Blue, the entry level handset with basic features is now available for a price of Rs 6,190 in India across all retail stores and Samsung's online store.  

Coming to the specifications, Samsung Galaxy J2 Core runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) which is designed to optimise the experience on low-end devices. Galaxy J2 Core packs preloaded features including Optimised Data Control and Ultra Data Saving.

The device sports 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) TFT display and measures 143.4x72.1x8.9mm and weighs 154 grams. Powered by Quad core, 1.4 GHz, Cortex A53 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM, the dual-SIM (Nano) Samsung Galaxy J2 Core has 8-megapixel sensor at the back along with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel sensor at the front. The device comes with Beauty Mode that enhances portraits and selfies.

The company has provided 8GB of onboard storage while it is expandable via microSD card. There is a 2,600mAh battery and is likely to deliver one day experience on a single charge. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
