Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro Launch Invite confirms Kirin 980 processor

Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro will be launched at an event in London on October 16, and the company has sent out official save-the-date invites to media with little teaser of the smartphone. The launch teaser invite has confirmed the HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, which is world’s first chipset with 7nm FinFET technology.

The teaser emphasizes on Kirin 980 in the top center of a smartphone outlining. It's the first chipset with Cat.21 modem to support upload speeds of up to 1.4Gbps and LPDDR4X RAM with speed of 2,133MHz, which is built around ARM’s Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPU and Mali-G76 GPU

As informed earlier by Gadgetgogi, both the smartphones Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro are equipped with Kirin 980, while the latter packs triple rear camera setup placed in square array design with L-shape for lenses and fourth being the big LED flash. Ahead of the launch, we have witnessed several leaks about the Mate 20 series. The Mate 20 Pro is expected to have dual-curved screen like the Samsung Galaxy S9, and a thin chin at the bottom.

Huawei Mate 20 will be unveiled in two colors – Blue and Black, and the device is likely to include a traditional fingerprint sensor and packs a 4,200mAh battery which is larger in capacity over the 4,000mAh battery available on the Huawei P20 Pro.
