OnePlus 6 Gets Android Pie based OxygenOS Open Beta 2

OnePlus has rolled out the second OxygenOS Open Beta 2 update to OnePlus 6, and it comes after the device has received Android 9.0 Pie. The OxygenOS Open Beta 2 has brought in the system optimisations and other improvements to the smartphone. Users will now need to manually download the ROM upgrade package for receiving new features.

According to the information from OnePlus forum post, the OxygenOS Open Beta 2 arrives with OnePlus customisations including the optimised background power consumption control, and optimisation for the pocket mode to reduce accidental touches, optimised multi-tasking UI and optimised image quality as well as the improved stability for Wi-Fi connection.

The OxygenOS Open Beta 2 update package for the smartphone is 1.49GB in size, and it requires manual ROM download to update your handset to get the latest features. However, the third-party applications may not function on this beta version. XDA Developers further informed that the issues happened in the  OxygenOS Open Beta1 such as scrolling/touch latency were fixed with the latest update.
