Cat B35 is a Rugged Feature Phone and 4G Enabled

Caterpiller aka Cat has announced its new phone B35, a new rugged feature phone that will go on sale from early October in select markets. After showcasing it in IFA 2018, the company has now revealed more details and specifications of Cat B35.

Cat B35 just like other devices from the company has got IP68 water and dustproofing besides being  drop-tested from a height of 1.8 metres, which of course was built to be used in difficult and harsh environments, unlike the 2018 phones that can crack and crumble. The phone can even withstand withstand extreme temperature (cold, hot, saline, humidity, and vibration), since it's MIL-810G compliant.

While it's not got killer design, being a feature phone, it indeed comes with a dual-core 1.3GHz processor, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 2MP camera, and a 2.4-inch QVGA display, which are the key highlights.

The Cat B35 packs 2,300 mAh battery, and is now 4G LTE enabled, and the battery life can last up to 12 hours on a single charge.  It supports GPS, a built-in torch, WiFi, and Google Assistant, headphone jack, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and can function as a WiFi hotspot. The pre-loaded apps in the device include YouTube, Google Maps, and web browsing, while the device runs on the feature phone-specific KaiOS 2.5.
