Honor 8C launch on October 11; specs leaked in TENAA listing

Huawei sub-brand is ready with the successor to its Honor 7C smartphone which is named Honor 8C and the launch event will be held on October 11. The Chinese certification site TENAA meanwhile listed the specifications of the device.

Honor 8C will feature a 6.28-inch LCD display with 720 x 1,520 px resolution, and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo based on EMUI 8.1. The device is likely to sport a notched display, and like most of them, it will have a visibly broad notch at the top of the front panel.

On the camera front, it's exactly like its predecessor with a with one 13-megapixel sensor with LED flash and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Plus there is 8-megapixel front sensor. Honor 8C packs 3900mAh battery and it is supported by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The internal storage will be of 64GB as per the listing and an option to expand further using a microSD card slot.

The handset measurements include 158.72 x 75.94 x 7.98mm and weighs 167.2 grams while it will be launched in blue, black, purple and gold color variants.
