Meizu Note 8 With 6-Inch Display, Dual-Camera Launched

Meizu Note 8, the company's latest Smartphone has been launched in China, with the key features including the 6-inch display, Android Oreo,  and the  Snapdragon 632 SoC. Meizu has unveiled the Note 8 price, release date, and specifications.  Meizu Note 8 will be available for pre-order from today and will start shipping next month. The global launch date is yet unclear though.

Meizu Note 8 is an affordable alternative to the X8 where the price tag was cut down to third. Users can purchase Note 8 for CNY 1,300 ($185/€165), sales will start on November 1. The device comes with a metal body available in four colors- Dark, Gray Blue, Smoke Purple, and Flame Red. The Meizu Note 8 has been priced at CNY 1,298 (approximately Rs. 13,700) in China

In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports6-inch (1080x2160 pixels) full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio while it is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device runs Android Oreo with Flyme OS and the optics incude a dual camera setup. There is a 12+5MP shooter on the rear with the main sensor being a Sony IMX362 with large 1.4┬Ám pixels and Dual Pixel AF. It has a decently bright f/1.9 aperture and is paired with a 5MP depth sensor. While on the front, there is there’s an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with face recognition support. It also comes with a finger print sensor.

Meizu Note 8 receives power from 3,600mAh battery with 18W fast charging (mCharge) but uses microUSB port. For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and GPS/ GLONASS.
