Nokia 8110 aka Banana Phone launched in India

Finnish company HMD Global has launched the Nokia 8110 4G aka Banana Phone, and the device is now available for sale in India for Rs 5,999. The 4G-enabled Banana phone runs KaiOS, similar to the Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2, and comes with pre-loaded apps including Gmail, Outlook, and the classic game Snake. Nokia 8110 will be able to create a Wi-Fi hotspot over their 4G connection.

Besides the Banana Yellow, the Nokia 8110 will also be available in the Traditional Black colour options. The device can be bought via offline and online Nokia partner retailers, as well as Nokia's own online store.

The Nokia 8110 4G features intuitive tactile mechanics with slide to on and off calls, and there is a helicopter-style spin on its axis. With a dual-SIM (Micro+Nano), the phone sports a 2.45-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) curved screen display and is powered by a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 SoC, paired with 512MB of LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. The device has no microSD card slot.

For camera, there is a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and no front camera. In terms of connectiity, there is  4G VoLTE with hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device receives power from 1,500mAh battery and Nokia claims it offers 9.32 hours of talk-time on VoLTE, and 25 days of 4G LTE standby time.
