Samsung working on a Gaming Smartphone

Following the Razer and Xiaomi, Samsung has now set its focus on the gamers by working on a new Gaming smartphone in the market. The details of the new Samsung gaming phone are scarce though the smartphone will arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The new phone could potentially be the Snapdragon 845 SoC-powered Galaxy A smartphone that leaked earlier this month. Samsung using  a flagship Qualcomm chipset will make it compete against devices like the OnePlus 6, Xiaomi Poco F1, and even the Honor Play to an extent. It will arrive with 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB internal storage.

Under the hood is the 4,000mAh battery, and it comes with a water carbon cooling system that is seen on the premium Galaxy Note 9. There is however no word on the release date and further specifications and features of the device. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

CEO DJ Koh was quoted as saying, “In the past, I brought the new technology and differentiation to the flagship model and then moved to the mid-end. But I have changed my strategy from this year to bring technology and differentiation points starting from the mid-end.”
