Lenovo K5X leaked specifications include Snapdragon 636 and more

Lenovo has recently unveiled the Z-series smartphones, and is retreating the K-series lineup by launching the K5S and K5 Pro in the Chinese markets. The latest leaked renders suggest that Lenovo will be launching a new K series smartphone named Lenovo K5X which will arrive soon.

The mid-range Lenovo K5X will be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with Adreno 509 GPU, and the leaked images show that the device will pack thick bezels above and below the display panel. The SoC is identical to the one in Motorola One Power, and several mobile manufacturers are finding it apt for mid-range segment devices.

Though there is no word yet on the screen size, the leaked renders suggest the device have a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and aspect ratio of 18:9. Lenovo K5X may arrive in 6GB of RAM and three storage options – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, while it runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. On camera front, Lenovo K5X will be equipped with dual selfie-camera setup at the front, besides the notch-less design.

The new Lenovo K series device has been certified by TENAA when it passed through with model number L38041. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and there is a mention of “Zero-Touch support”.
