Realme U new phone powered by Helio P70 processor

Realme has confirmed that its new flagship phone will be powered by MediaTek's Helio P70 processor, and the device will be part of the new U-series. MediaTek has unveiled the Helio P70 SoC in October and later Realme confirmed that it will be first company to introduce a smartphone globally with the new processor integrated.

The Helio P70 will be launched soon and will be available to users in November. Ahead of the launch event, Realme has teased the Helio P70 smartphone, where MediaTek SoC will be equipped into a device that is a part of a completely new 'U' series.

Realme announced that the company will be launching world's first MediaTek Helio P70 smartphone, under the company's brand new 'U' series, but the exact date isn't yet unveiled.

Helio P70 is built on TSMC's 12nm FinFET process, and the processor has four Cortex-A73 cores at 2.1 GHz and four Cortex-A53 units at 2 GHz, which is slightly faster than the Helio P60, and meant to power "full-featured smartphones at affordable price points." The SoC also supports 20:9 displays at Full HD+ resolution. The Helio P70 SoC will arrive with a multi-core APU clocked at up to 525MHz with enhanced edge-AI processing.  The SoC supports up to 32-megapixel single cameras, or 24+16-megapixel dual camera setup for lowered power consumption.
